DJ Craig Reptile
DJ Craig Reptile is a DJ, CHIRP volunteer and Assistant Music Director. He hosts Your Sunday Sonic Sundowner on CHIRP Radio from 6 pm to 9 pm central time every Sunday night. Craig previously worked in radio part-time at KVOE AM and Fox 105 in Emporia, Kansas, and served as a DJ, music director and general manager for WVKC in Knox College. At Knox he also booked concerts, wrote about music, was a founding member of the campus environmental organization, had essays, poetry and photography published in Catch, the college's literary magazine, and somehow in his free time got a BA in English writing, specializing in poetry, some of which earned him the coveted Davenport Award for Poetry.. He has been a Senior Staff Writer for Pop'stache, written about Star Wars for ScreenRant, and writes freelance for Newcity, in addition to contributing occasionally to the CHIRP blog. Craig is a member of The Blue Ribbon Glee Club, Chicago's longest running acapella group that covers punk, alternative and new wave classics. Nowadays he works as a technical writer, but before that he worked in various capacities within the hotel and meetings industry for over twenty years. He also fancies himself an armchair herpetologist and thus in addition to a wife, son and cat, he has a day gecko and a milk snake in his collection. Craig has also attained a Master Herpetologist Certificate from The Amphibian Foundation in Atlanta, Georgia. .
